Chiang Mai University’s Faculty of Education is located on the beautiful CMU campus in the mountainous Lanna Thai region of northern Thailand. 
The Faculty of Education is helping to build a new generation of university graduates dedicated to transforming pedagogy into a dynamic enterprise and Thai schools into exciting places for learning and service. 

      By training teachers, administrators, researchers and educational scholars, CMU’s Faculty of Education is contributing to the development of the Lanna (northern) region and of the nation.

     Asst.Prof. Soontaree Konthieng, Associate Dean for International Relations and Community Affairs, 
welcomed  Professor Tamino Kentaro and Associate Professor Tabata Toru from Ryutsu Keizai University,
Japan, on the occasion of their visit and research purpose on Physical Education in Thailand. 
On this regard, Dr. Sarawut Phongpipat from Department of Vocational Education and Wellness
Promotion, Faculty of Education,  roled as a resource person in their research area.

     Asst.Prof. Soontaree Konthieng, Associate Dean for International Relations and Community Affairs, 
welcomed  Professor Dr. Chun_Yen Chang, Director of Science Education Center, National Taiwan
Normal University, Taiwan, on the occasion of his visit and delivered the special lecture to
Ph.D. candidate on the topic “Cloud Classroom”.

     
    In-Country Study Program 2017 for Kokushikan University’s students

         Associate Professor Wilaiporn Tanasuwan representative of the Faculty of Education,
welcomed faculty member and students from Kokushikan University, Japan, during their visit and
participate in the In-Country Study Program which organized from February 28, 2017 - March 24, 2017.

     Kokushikan University and the Faculty of Education, Chiang Mai University have enjoyed academic
collaboration for over 10 years with students exchange program and In-Country Study Program
that provide special lectures on Thai language and culture. There are 14 students joined the program
this year.

for International Student, Japan

welcomed faculty member and students from Kanda University of International Studies, Japan,
during their visit and participate in the In-Country Study Program which organized from
February 10-27, 2017.

     KUIS and the Faculty of Education, Chiang Mai University have enjoyed academic collaboration for over 10 years with students exchange program and In-Country Study Program that provide special lectures on Thai language and culture. There are 21 students joined the program this year.

       Asst.Prof. Soontaree Konthieng, Associate Dean for International Relations and Community Affairs,
welcomed  Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tatsuya Kusakabe, Vice Director of the Center for the Study of International
cooperation in Education (CICE), Hiroshima University, Japan, on the occasion of his visit and delivered
the special lecture on “Research Experiences in Asia and Africa”.
   
    Welcoming Senior Lecturer from University of Northampton  (January 21, 2016)
   
       Asst.Prof. Soontaree Konthieng, Associate Dean for International Relations and Community Affairs,
welcomed Dr. Wendy Walker-Moffat, Fulbright Specialist, who expertise in multicultural education and
special education.  She plans to spend her time at the Faculty of Education, Chiang Mai University from January 21, 2016-February 23, 2016.  In collaboration with staff of both multicultural education and
special education, the specialist will observe teacher-training programs, consult faculty members and
graduate students on the possibility to conduct research in both areas, as well as, present lectures and
counseling for students interested in studying or conducting research in the United States of America.
